One page at a time on phones, pinch to zoom
A two page spread is unreadable on a small screen. On phones the viewer switches to a single page; swipe to turn, pinch to zoom.
That decision is made from the real width of the layout, not from a guess about the device - the guessing method reports the wrong number on themes without a viewport tag.

Easy PDF Flipbook runs on Shopify's Theme App Extension framework. You never touch theme code and you do not need a developer.

Upload your PDF
Upload your catalogue to the PDF Library in the admin. The file goes straight from your browser into your own Shopify Files; it never passes through our servers.

Attach it to products
One PDF can appear on several products, and a single product can carry several PDFs. You can also attach one from the block on the Shopify product screen.

Shoppers flip through it
A button appears below the product images. The shopper taps it and the magazine opens - no download, no leaving the page.

Three ways to open it, per store or per product.
You pick the default for your store once, and you can override it on any single product.

Your files stay yours
PDFs are stored in your own Shopify Files, never on our servers. Uninstalling the app never deletes them.
Add to cart without leaving the magazine
The product name, the live price and an Add to cart button sit at the top of the viewer. The shopper buys the moment they decide, with no trip back to the product page.
A button that looks like your store
Label, style, size, width, alignment, corner radius, four colours, text weight and eight icons. The live preview and the storefront button are drawn by the same code.
Thumbnails, zoom, full screen
A page panel, click and pinch zoom, full screen, keyboard arrows, and optional download and print. You decide which of those shoppers get.

Quick start
Your first setup takes a few minutes.
After you install the app, the four step list on the admin home screen walks you through this order.

Open the app from your Shopify admin
Go to
Apps → Easy PDF Flipbook. The home screen with the setup steps opens. -
Switch the theme embed on
Open the theme editor, switch on the Easy PDF Flipbook app embed and save. While it is off nothing loads on your storefront - that is a deliberate safety gate.

Upload your PDF
Go to the PDF Library and upload your file. The status turns Ready within a few seconds.

Attach it to products
On the Products screen pick the PDF, then pick the products you want it to appear on.

Design the button
On the Design screen set the label, colour, size and icon. The preview on the right updates as you type.

Check it on your storefront
Open the product page, tap the button, watch the magazine open. If anything looks off, go back to the Design screen.
Pricing
Every plan includes the full viewer.
The only difference between plans is the number of PDFs. All payments are billed through your Shopify invoice and you can cancel at any time.

There is no trial, because the free plan never expires. Use it as long as you like. Downgrading is safe: PDFs above your new limit stay in your library, they simply stop showing to shoppers - and they come back if you move up again.

Where are my PDFs stored?
In your own Shopify Files - under Content → Files in your Shopify admin. We store the link, never the file. If you uninstall the app, your PDFs stay exactly where they are.
Will it slow my product pages down?
No. A visitor who never opens the flipbook downloads about 5 KB. The viewer itself is only fetched when someone actually taps the button, and the PDF is read page by page from Shopify's own CDN.
Can I put the button somewhere else?
Yes. By default it appears just below the product images. You can turn that off and place the Easy PDF block wherever you like in the theme editor, or point it at a CSS selector of your choosing.
Does it work with my theme?
It is built to. The button carries its own styling, so a reset rule in your theme cannot erase it, and the automatic placement falls back through several common theme structures. If your theme is unusual, place the block by hand or send us a CSS selector.
What happens if I downgrade?
Nothing is deleted. PDFs above your new limit stay in your library but stop showing to shoppers. Move back up and they reappear. If you want to free a slot you have to delete something for real - that is deliberate.
Can I use it to sell gated or paid documents?
No, and we would rather say so plainly. Shopify file addresses are hard to guess but they are not secret; anyone with the link can open the file. This app is built for product previews, not for distributing paid or members-only documents.
Do scanned catalogues open?
Yes. The JPEG2000 and JBIG2 image decoders that scanned magazines usually need are bundled. Known limit: text may be missing in Chinese, Japanese or Korean PDFs that carry no embedded font.
Can one product carry more than one PDF?
Yes. A single product can carry a whole multi volume set, and the same PDF can appear on several products. You decide which title the shopper sees.
